The Melbourne Sports Institute recently had the opportunity to support the Bachar Houli Foundation by providing football umpires for their community programs.
The Bachar Houli Foundation (BHF) is an inspiring organisation founded by former AFL player Bachar Houli OAM. The Foundation uses sport particularly Australian Rules Football as a platform to engage, educate, and empower young Muslim Australians and those from diverse backgrounds. Through its programs, the BHF promotes inclusion, leadership, and social cohesion, helping participants develop both on and off the field.
Our involvement highlights MSI’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and inclusion. We were able to play a small but meaningful part in supporting young people to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership through sport.
A big thank you to everyone involved in making this happen, your support continues to strengthen our ties with the wider community.
